I'm sure Robert will correct me if any of this information is not accurate, he's quite the Galaxian player as are a few other people I know. Also, if a Charger flies at you solo (no red escorts), try to shoot him because if you miss and he passes you below the screen, he DOES NOT restage, and you just lost a big point guy. Also, if you don't think you can snag all 3 at once, let them go.they'll restage and you can try again when you're in a better situation. So.STRATEGY : Don't shoot red ones (or anyone else if you can survive doing so) while they're staged, you want them to escort the Charger. When flying with two escorts and you destroy both reds and then the Charger in a single pass the Charger is worth 800 points! (Charger is worth 300 whether you destroy either of the two red ones first or not) (Charger is worth 200 whether you destroy the red one first or not) To maximize points, you want to shoot the entire 3-ship convoy while they fly at you, but you must shoot the two escorts before shooting the Charger (you must do this on ONE strafe, you can't pick off one red guy, then let them pass below the screen, and then wait for them to make another dive.) You must get them all in one dive, and it takes pretty quick shooting sometimes waiting until they're right on you, and then BANG-BANG-BANG, one-two-three. When they fly down at you, they will have one or two escort red guys (two unless you've already shot two of the three adjacent reds below the Charger). The other scoring difference of most significance is the way you shoot the Convoy Charger (the yellow colored ones, only 2 per stage)
